Closed Ruana

A silk ruana is a graceful, elegant and very special adaptation of a South American garment usually made of wool:it fits almost every size and is shaped as a large rectangle that has an opening in the front where the garment is placed on the shoulders and worn loosely. This closed ruana has the sides sewn closed for easier wearing leaving an opening for the arms. The dimensions closed from shoulder to hem are 37", and from arm edge to arm edge are 54". The colors are wonderful from sun yellow at the neck to taupe at the hem with a blend of elegant colors in between. The ginko leaves are screen printed from my original drawing. This piece is an elegant one of a kind, art-you-wear.
